President’s Message

Janet Morrison, Sheridan's President and Vice ChancellorMy name is Janet Morrison; I’m a life-long learner and an educator who believes in the transformative power of post-secondary education. As Sheridan’s President and Vice Chancellor, I’m proud to lead an institution renowned for its commitment to excellence. Our alumni lead successful businesses, win Academy, Emmy and Canadian Screen Awards, and make invaluable contributions in the healthcare and community service fields. We are tremendously proud of their local and global accomplishments as active, engaged citizens.

Across our three campuses, learners come first. Whether you enroll at Sheridan to earn a diploma, graduate certificate or degree, you’ll find a learning environment fuelled by innovation and creativity, enhanced by the latest technology, and supported by services designed to fuel positive outcomes. It’s our mission to recruit the very best professors; their enthusiasm, training and expertise combine to actively engage students and position them for success within and beyond the classroom.

Sheridan’s commitment to providing the richest learning experience possible is fuelled by our Creative Campus philosophy. In an economy based on innovation and change, leading CEOs agree that creativity is the top skill you can bring to the workplace. My colleagues and I are inspired by the challenge of giving students the hard skills to find meaningful employment in their chosen field, and the problem solving and critical thinking abilities to be resilient and resourceful. These are keys to excelling at work, and in life.

Finally, Sheridan is committed to providing students with a well-rounded experience that develops their interests, values and goals. To that end, there are countless ways to enrich your time at school and enhance your resume through athletics, student government, social clubs, student advisement, work integrated learning, community volunteer work or participation in applied research projects.

Executive Assistant to the President and Vice Chancellor

Sheridan acknowledges that all of its campuses reside on land that for thousands of years before us was the traditional Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nations, Anishinaabe Nation, Huron-Wendat and the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. It is our collective responsibility to honour and respect those who have gone before us, those who are here, and those who have yet to come. We are grateful for the opportunity to be working on this land.
