Prepare for work in the finance industry

In this program, you’ll get the fundamental skills you need to find finance jobs. You’ll learn to process financial records, analyze reports and network in business. You’ll also get hands-on experience as you study investing, financial statement analysis and more. With your well-rounded knowledge, you’ll be prepared to work at a financial institution or in a finance department by graduation.

Transfer to our finance advanced diploma program

You can easily transfer into our three-year Business Administration – Finance program at any time during your studies. The advanced diploma offers co-op opportunities, advanced concepts and real-world case studies. It also gives you a chance to choose elective courses that can help you meet requirements to become a Qualified Associate Financial Planner (QAFP) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP).

Discover finance scholarships

Finance students who demonstrate superior academic performance may be eligible for financial awards in addition to other Sheridan scholarships and bursaries.

Additional program and finance certification costs

In addition to your tuition, you should be prepared to pay for textbooks, supplies and professional certification if you wish to pursue industry licensing courses, such as the Canadian Securities Course (CSC). Additional fees can range from $200–$1,200 per course and can be changed any time by the external institution.
